The body found Monday morning near the University of Nebraska–Lincoln City Campus has been identified as 39-year-old Luke Perez of Lincoln.
Officers were called to the area of Vine Street and Antelope Valley Parkway shortly before 9 a.m. after a report of a deceased man. The body was located just off the Billy Wolff Trail, near the end of a culvert beneath Antelope Valley Parkway.
LPD said Tuesday that an autopsy has been scheduled. While investigators do not consider Perez’s death suspicious, the cause of death has not yet been determined. Toxicology and pathology results are currently pending.
