Lincoln Police were sent to a home near 26th and ‘M’ Streets around 12:30 Thursday afternoon for a disturbance involving two men. LPD says three members of the Metro Area Fugitive Task Force were in the area and assisted officers at the scene.
Investigators say as officers and deputies approached the home, one man was reportedly threatening to harm himself while an infant was also inside. Police say law enforcement made entry into the home and found a man with an apparent self-inflicted knife wound to his neck.
He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The child was removed from the home and was not harmed.
