A Thanksgiving tradition continues this year as the YMCA of Lincoln’s Turkey Trot returns for its 17th year.  It will be held November 27 in downtown Lincoln’s Railyard and organizers says this year’s Turkey Trot has something for all fitness levels.

Whether you’re chasing a personal best with the 5K race or out for a pre-feast stroll with the 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk, all are welcome to participate.  “We’re thrilled to welcome the community back to the Railyard for this year’s Turkey Trot, a celebration that truly embodies the spirit of Thanksgiving,” says Renee Yost, president & CEO of the Lincoln YMCA.

“Whether you’re here to race, walk, or cheer, it’s a wonderful reminder of how strong we are when we come together for a shared cause.”  Race fees directly support the YMCA’s Open Doors Financial Assistance program, ensuring more youth, families, and seniors can access life-changing programs and services offered by the Y.

Fees are $21 per person for the 1-mile Fun Run/Walk, $36 per person for the 5K or $75 per families with up to five members.  Online registration is open through 7:30am on November 27 at YMCALincoln.org/turkeytrot.
