A Colorado man wanted for attempted homicide was arrested in North Platte on Thursday after Nebraska State Patrol troopers located his vehicle and took him into custody without incident.

NSP says it received information Thursday morning that 44-year-old Robert Martell of Denver was believed to be in the North Platte area. Martell was wanted on an active arrest warrant related to a Colorado investigation.

Around 12 p.m., troopers located Martell’s Ford F-150 driving through a residential neighborhood. The vehicle stopped near West 6th Street and North Emory Avenue, where troopers contacted the driver and arrested him. A passenger, 20-year-old Allison Gruenloh of Littleton, Colorado, was also detained.

According to NSP, further investigation found both occupants had suspected methamphetamine. A search of the vehicle turned up a handgun, more than half a pound of suspected meth, a knife, burglary tools, numerous credit cards, and IDs and checks belonging to other people.

Martell was arrested on his outstanding warrant, and both he and Gruenloh were taken to the Lincoln County Jail. The pair face multiple charges, including possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver, possession of a firearm during a drug violation, possession of burglar’s tools, identity fraud, criminal possession of four or more financial devices, and other charges.
