Lincoln Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying suspects in two separate cases: a downtown paint bucket vandal; the other involving someone trying to use prop money to buy a pre-paid debit card.
The first case occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in downtown’s Tower Square near 13th and P Streets.
LPD Video Forensics Technician Becky Keller said cameras captured what appeared to be three men in ski masks walking into the square, when one of the men grabbed a bucket of paint and threw it onto the brick patio, spilling the contents across the patio and staining the brick.
Officers discovered the vandalism when they noticed a city worker cleaning the bricks the following day while investigating a string of downtown vandalisms.

Keller says a white 30s-year-old female attempted to put some money on a pre-paid debit card, but the money she was fake and labeled “For Motion Picture Only.”
The suspect arrived and left as the passenger of a multi-colored older Ford Taurus that appeared to be undergoing some body work with a red hood and gray body.
