Lincoln’s Aging Partners to Expand Lunch Service Due SNAP Pause

By Chase Porter Oct 30, 2025 | 11:21 AM

Aging Partners announced it will temporarily expand lunch service beginning Wednesday, November 5, to assist seniors impacted by the recent expiration of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits due to the government shutdown.

Hot meals will be served to residents age 60 and older in two 45-minute sessions — 11:15 a.m. to noon and 12:15 to 1 p.m. — at Victory Park, located at 600 S. 70th Street. Meal service at other Aging Partners senior center locations will remain unchanged.

Reservations are required two days in advance at all Aging Partners senior centers. For the expanded Victory Park service, seniors can reserve a meal by calling 402-441-7154. StarTran routes 44, 48, and 54 will provide transportation to Victory Park.
