The Nebraska wrestling team will open the 2025-26 season ranked No. 2 by the National Wrestling Coaches Association in their preseason poll released Wednesday.
The Cornhuskers trail only Penn State, which received all 16 first-place votes and 400 points in the poll. Nebraska is second with 379 points, followed by Iowa at 363 points, Ohio State with 330 and Oklahoma State with 328.
Eight Big Ten teams are in the preseason poll, and the Huskers will have 10 duals against preseason ranked teams. Nebraska opens its season Nov. 2 at the Navy Classic.
