The Capital Humane Society is inviting families to its annual Tails & Treats Trunk-or-Treat event, set for Friday, October 24th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Pieloch Pet Adoption Center (6500 S. 70th Street).
Shana Perry, the society’s Director of Development, said the Halloween-themed celebration offers fun for both kids and pet lovers.
“We’ll have over 30 vendors, food trucks, face painting, friendship bracelet making, a bounce house, and the best part — a pet costume contest,” Perry said. “There’s something for everyone.”
The event will also feature trunk-or-treating for kids, with prizes and plenty of treats available.
Registration for children and pets is $8 through Thursday, Oct. 23, and $10 on the day of the event. Adult admission is free. Walk-up registration is available, with both cash and cards accepted.
All proceeds benefit the Capital Humane Society’s mission to support local animals and adoption programs.
