No. 1 Huskers sweep Michigan

The dominant run continues for No. 1 Nebraska volleyball as the Cornhuskers swept Michigan 25-18, 25-13, 25-18, Sunday in Ann Arbor. The sweep is Nebraska’s ninth straight, and the Huskers have won 28 consecutive sets.

Harper Murray led a balanced Nebraska attack with nine kills. Andi Jackson added eight kills on 10 attempts with no errors and a team-leading six blocks. Rebekah Allick tallied four kills and five blocks. Bergen Reilly led the team with 28 set assists and eight digs. The Huskers outhit the Wolverines .390-.079 and outblocked them 13-6.

The first set was the most competitive. Michigan raced out to a 4-1 lead and led 11-10. But Nebraska ran off four straight points to take a lead it would never relinquish. The Huskers did not trail in either the second or third set.

Nebraska now prepares to host Northwestern Friday at 6 p.m. Pregame coverage begins at 5 p.m. on KLIN and B-107.3.
