Hundreds Attend No Kings Rally in Lincoln

By Tom Stanton Oct 18, 2025 | 5:59 PM

Hundreds flocked to downtown Lincoln Saturday afternoon for the No Kings Protest, voicing frustration with President Trump’s administration.  This was the second protest in Lincoln this year outside the State Capital.

Veterans like Jeff Johnson told KLIN media partner 1011 Now that Trump should also keep the military out of American streets. “We don’t want the military on the streets in the U.S.,” Johnson said. “For no other reason than it just erodes the public perception of what the military is really for.”

State Senator George Dungan was also among those in attendance.  “This many people out here making their voices heard and exercising their right to free speech is what it means to be an American,” Dungan told 1011 Now.  “And I think it’s really incredible today that people are showing up and telling the government what they care about.”

This was one of more than two-thousand protests in every state across the country on Saturday.  “I’m here for humanity,” protester Florence Ditzler told 1011 Now. “I’m here for peace. I’m here for the future, for the young. I’m here because I love America.”
