The Lincoln Parks Parks and Recreation Department has announced that the Mahoney Park Playground at 70th and Fremont streets will be closed from Monday, October 20 through Friday, October 24.
Assistant Parks and Recreation Director JJ Yost says they will be doing equipment and site adjustments over those four days. Signs will be posted that the area is closed. All other park areas will remain open during the project.
The inclusive playground opened in July and includes physical accommodations that provide access and specialized equipment to meet certain needs, as well as provide opportunities for everyone to explore and play with children and adults who may have different levels of ability.
