The Nebraska Athletic Department disclosed the process by which seats will be reallocated in John Cook Arena for Husker Volleyball in an email to season ticket holders distributed Wednesday morning. A tab sharing that same information is available for access at the Husker Athletic Fund’s official website, here.

The reseat is the first one the program’s history and coincides with renovations to John Cook Arena that will bring chairback seats to the lower “A” section and expand capacity of the arena to 10,000 fans.

The priority by which a fan select their season tickets will be determined by their annual financial contribution to Nebraska Athletics, as of March 18, 2026, and whether or not they currently hold Nebraska Volleyball tickets. Those in the Nebraska Leadership Society (donating $25,000 or more annually) will get first opportunity to select seats, with each donor having the chance to select up to six seats and up to two parking passes. Current season ticketholders will get the first choice, followed by Leadership Society members who do not have volleyball season tickets.

Hall of Fame level donors ($12,500+ annually) who hold season tickets will get the next chance to select up to four tickets and a parking pass, followed by Champion level donors ($5,000+ annually) who are season ticket holders. who can select up to four seats and a parking pass. Hall of Fame-level donors without volleyball season tickets will be given the chance to select up to four seats and a parking pass after that. Then, Blackshirt-level donors ($1,000+ annually) who hold volleyball season tickets will be given a chance to select up to four seats and a parking pass. Finally, Sea of Red-level donors ($100+ annual contribution) who hold volleyball tickets will have the chance to select up to two seats and a parking pass.

After that, new volleyball season ticket holders who donate at the Champion, Blackshirt, and Sea of Red level will be accommodated, in order of size of contribution. After that, season ticket holders who do not donate to the athletic department on top of their ticket price will have the chance to select two seats and a parking pass. If there are any tickets left after that, non-donors who do not have volleyball season tickets will have the chance to select seats.

Due to the caps at the various donation levels, the Nebraska Athletic Department expects to be able to accommodate all fans who currently have seats at John Cook Arena with at least two seats, though they may be in a different location than they currently are. Fans’ rank among Nebraska Athletics donors will be locked on March 18, 2026, with appointments made in the two months after that for fans to select their seats, before they make their actual seat selection June 8 through July 17, 2026

According to the Athletic Department, the reseating process will honor the loyalty of current season ticket holders by prioritizing and guaranteeing they will have an option to select seats during the 2026 Volleyball Reseat, create clear pathways for Huskers Athletic Fund members and season ticket holders to secure and upgrade Nebraska Volleyball season tickets, expand access through revised ticket limits so more fans can secure season tickets, secure our financial model and generate the resources for Nebraska Volleyball to set the standard in Division I Athletics, and reward Huskers Athletic Fund members who give generously and support our culture of excellence and tradition of winning championships.

Nebraska volleyball tickets are among the most highly sought in college sports. Husker volleyball has sold out its last 344 home regular-season matches, and boasts a 99 percent renewal rate of season tickets, according to NU athletic director Troy Dannen.
