There were some tense moments Monday morning in a southwest Lancaster County neighborhood. LSO got a call of a man walking down West ‘A’ Street near Southwest 40th yelling and firing a handgun into the air and into the street,” says Chief Deputy Ben Houchin.
Houchin says deputies and LPD officers arrived in the area near the Lincoln-Lancaster County line and found 49-year-old Ryan Sabin of Lincoln. He says Sabin had changed his clothes by the time they found him and they didn’t find the gun when officers took him into custody.
Houchin says Sabin wasn’t making sense when they were talking with them and believes he was under the influence of meth. When they checked the area, they found sweatpants, a wallet and a .22 caliber handgun. Houchin says several casings were found along the road that matched the gun Sabin had.
