Job seekers in Lincoln will have a chance to connect with local employers at an outdoor hiring event this month.
The American Job Center (AJC) is hosting its Rooftop Career Expo from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16, on the sixth floor of the parking garage above its downtown offices at 1330 N St., Suite A.
Attendees may park for free in the Park & Go garage at 14th and N streets by entering their license plate number at one of the kiosks.
“Fall is a season of new opportunities, and the Rooftop Career Expo is the perfect place for job seekers to connect with employers and take the next step in their careers,” said Dylan Wren, AJC Workforce Administrator.
Employers on site will include the State of Nebraska, ALLO Fiber, Lincoln Electrical JATC, WarHorse Gaming Inc., Lincoln Electric System, and others.
In addition to events like the expo, AJC offers programs for adults, youth, dislocated workers, and Nebraskans receiving disability benefits or SNAP assistance. The center provides coaching, training, and access to conference and interview rooms with technology for in-person and virtual job searches.
