Lincoln Transportation and Utilities announced Monday that Adams Street between 48th and 50th streets will close beginning September 30 as part of an ongoing street improvement project. LTU says the work is scheduled to be completed by late November.
The recommended detour for those traveling northbound on 48th Street to eastbound Adams Street is 48th Street to Leighton Avenue to 56th Street to Adams Street. The recommended detour for those traveling southbound on 48th Street to eastbound Adams Street is 48th Street to Fremont Street to 56th Street to Adams Street.
StarTran Route 49-University Place will be detoured during this work.
