Lincoln Police were sent to the bus stop near 13th and ‘F’ Street around 3:30 Friday afternoon to investigate a robbery. “Officers were told a man with an axe-like object had swung it at another man, who fell on the ground while trying to run away,” says Public Information Manager Erika Thomas.
“When he came back, the victim told officers he saw the suspect had taken another man’s belongings and chased him with the axe-like object. The total estimated loss was more than $300. “Based on a physical description given and previous contacts, Officers identified and located 54-year-old Sharife Davis at a nearby apartment building where he was taken into custody and some of the stolen items were recovered,” Thomas says.
She says a metal paint scraper/chisel tool was recovered from the scene. Davis was taken to the Lancaster County Jail and booked for robbery, terroristic threats and use deadly weapon to commit a felony.
