Pavement repairs will temporarily shut down Normal Boulevard between S. 62nd Street and Park Crest Drive on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) says this Lincoln on the Move street improvement project is expected to be completed by mid-October. The recommended detour is 56th Street to South Street to 70th Street.
Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around these closures. Lincoln on the Move is a quarter-cent sales tax street investment effort focused on enhancing Lincoln’s street infrastructure, re-approved by voters in April 2025.
