Lincoln Couple Arrested For Theft of Vintage Husker Jersey

By Tom Stanton Sep 19, 2025 | 11:01 AM

Lincoln Police have arrested a man and woman in connection with a series of thefts earlier this month.  Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says it began just before 7:00 on September 3 near 10th and ‘O’ Streets.

“The victim reported more than $5,100 worth of items had been stolen, including vintage Husker jerseys, other Husker clothing, tools and rare bottles of alcohol,” Thomas says.  “Surveillance video
showed the burglary happening over the course of more than three hours earlier that afternoon.”

Thomas says 26-year-old Noah Williams of Lincoln was seen using a code to enter the building and both he and his wife, 28-year-old Deja Williams, taking items from several of the storage units.  On September 8, officers also took a report of a burglary at Oneup Gym near 11th and Saunders Avenue.  Thomas says it had occurred just before 3 a.m. on September 3.

“A man later identified as Williams entered through a window and stole cash, a credit card and keys for a total estimated loss of more than $260,” Thomas says.  “He also
damaged the window screen and safe, causing an estimated $80 in damage.”

During the investigation, investigators determined Williams was the person responsible for both incidents. On Thursday investigators contacted him in the area of 14th and ‘Q’ streets and took him in custody.

His wife was located about a block away and both were taken to the Lancaster County Jail.  Noah Williams was booked on five counts of burglary and one count of criminal mischief.  His wife was booked for two counts of burglary.
