Pickup Crash Leaves Trail of Destruction

By Tom Stanton Sep 12, 2025 | 3:36 PM

No one was seriously injured after a pickup crash around 2:00 Friday afternoon just south of 84th and ‘O’ Street.  Lincoln Police tell KLIN News the driver of the pickup suffered a medical issue, which caused him to lose control.

The City of Lincoln truck then came into the parking lot, ran into a business sign and two other vehicles before hitting the outside of a State Farm building.  “I was in my office and I look outside and I see that my sign has been destroyed,” says Ian Larson.  He owns iSleep, which is located in the neighboring building.   “He hit my car, he hit a another lady’s car and he hit the side of the building.”

Larson says he and woman helped break the glass he helped break the window so they could open the door of the truck.  LFR crews arrived and extricated the man.  Lincoln Police say the man was taken to the hospital to be checked out and no other injuries were reported.
