Investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol have arrested two people in connection with a suspected homicide in western Nebraska.

On Thursday, Sept. 11, investigators located human remains in rural Box Butte County. Authorities are working to confirm the victim’s identity, but believe the death to be the result of homicide.

Troopers arrested 26-year-old Tamara Bingham of Alliance, on charges of first-degree murder. 36-year-old Matthew Landreth was also arrested and charged as an accessory to a felony.

The case remains active, and the investigation is ongoing. NSP is being assisted in the investigation by the Box Butte County Sheriff’s Office, Alliance Police Department, Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office, WING Task Force, the Sheridan and Box Butte County Attorneys, and the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office.

The State Patrol continues to investigate the disappearance of 32-year-old Ebram Anthony Sifuentes of Alliance, who was last seen on August 27.
