Lincoln Police say three people were hospitalized following a four vehicle crash south of 40th and Old Cheney Road Thursday afternoon. According to LPD investigators a Red Chevrolet Silverado was southbound on 40th Street near Duxhall Drive just after 1:00 and rear-ended a White Toyota Highlander
Police say that pushed the Highlander into a White Toyota Rav 4. The pickup continued and collided with a Silver Nissan Altima that was waiting to turn left onto Duxhall Drive. The pickup eventually came to a stop along a sidewalk.
Two drivers and a passenger were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado was cited and released for following too closely.
