Hundreds of vehicles from vintage classics to modern electrics will roll into Southeast Community College’s Lincoln campus this Sunday, September 7, for the 44th annual All Makes Auto & Truck Show.
The event, hosted by the Capitol City Ford & Mustang Club, runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the SCC parking lot near 88th and “O” streets. Admission is free for spectators. Registration is $20 in advance through September 6, or $30 the day of the show. A “show and shine” option, which is not judged, is available for $10.
The family-friendly event features more than 60 judged classes, food trucks, children’s activities, raffles, and specialty displays including a Lancaster County Sheriff’s SWAT vehicle and a race car from the Unser Collection at the Museum of American Speed. Proceeds benefit the Lincoln chapter of the First Responders Foundation. Last year, the show raised $15,000 for the charity.
“This is one of the most comprehensive shows in Lincoln. It’s not just Fords and Mustangs, it’s everything, even rat rods,” said Dan Zichek, media relations coordinator for the club. “You’ll see cars spanning generations, from beautifully restored vintage models to modern and even electric vehicles.”
Zichek added that the show has grown into one of Lincoln’s largest late-summer car events. “You can literally spend four or five hours walking the lot. For spectators, it’s all free. Hundreds of cars and trucks, old ones, new ones, some shiny, some not so shiny. It’s just a fun show.”
Food will be available from several vendors, including the Knights of Columbus serving Piedmontese burgers and pulled pork. A raffle will include prizes such as car wash packages, gift cards, and a 15-person tour package to the Museum of American Speed.
