LPD says a 76-year-old man has died more than a week after he was involved in a two-vehicle crash in southeast Lincoln. Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says 76-year-old Len Ostrowsky was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be a minor injury after the crash on August 26th near 70th and Yankee, but later lost consciousness and was placed on life support.
According to a police report Ostrowsky was driving north on 70th Street, just south of Yankee Hill Road around 8:45 p.m. The report says he was driving on the wrong side of the road and crashed into a southbound vehicle.
That caused Ostrowsky to spin off the road into a nearby ditch. Ostrowsky told officers he was unsure what happened and did not see any headlights coming his way. He was taken to Bryan West Medical Center for cuts on his arms.
