Lincoln Police are looking into a report of voter fraud by the Lancaster County Election Commission. Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says the office reported receiving four voter registration change-of-party forms submitted for four different individuals, all in the same handwriting as the known suspect in this incident.
“In early August, the office received two other forms with that same handwriting as well, including a change-of-party form for a person who passed away in 2020.” Thomas says the investigation is ongoing, including any possible charges.
“We want to thank the Election Commission for its diligence in reviewing submitted forms and reporting suspected fraudulent behavior to police.” Thomas says they know who the suspect is, but no arrests have been made yet.
