$50,000 in Copper Wire Stolen From Lincoln Construction Site

Lincoln Police are investigating an ongoing theft of copper wire from a construction site near 30th and Cornhusker Highway.  Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says they were called to Cargill Ag Horizons on Monday.

“The supervisor reported an unknown individual has been entering the location where the company is tearing down silos and stealing copper wire.”  She says the total estimated loss of $50,000. “There were holes found in chain link fences around the property, along with holes dug under doors.”
