Rebecca Allick’s big first weekend of her senior season continues to garner honors, as Allick was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association Player of the Week Wednesday.
Earlier in the week, Allick was named MVP of the match against Stanford, AVCA All-First Serve Team and Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week.
Allick posted 2.86 kills per set to go along with 1.71 blocks per set with a .406 hitting percentage in the Huskers’ two wins at the AVCA First Serve. She began the season with nine kills and seven blocks in the win against Pitt and recorded 11 kills and five with a .600 hitting percentage in the sweep of Stanford.
Allick is Nebraska’s first AVCA National Player of the Week since Merritt Beason on Oct. 24, 2023.
