Children’s Museum Bringing Back Game Day Play Dates

By Tom Stanton Aug 26, 2025 | 6:00 AM

The Lincoln Children’s Museum is once again offering a special game day experience during all Husker home games this season.  Chief Marketing Officer Ellie Charter tells KLIN News parents and caregivers can drop kids off while they go to Memorial Stadium and cheer on the Huskers.

Charter says the kids will have their own tailgate experience that includes staff-led game day themed activities.  “We definitely encourage the kiddos to come in their favorite jersey or their spirit squad outfit, not necessary, but just an extra element of fun.”

The museum also offers football-themed games and crafts and a mid-game snack to keep all kids fueled for fun.  For play dates over-lapping lunch or dinner, a meal from Kazoo’s U-STOP Café can be added to the registration for $6.50, or a sack meal can be brought from home.

The program is reserved for kids ages 5-12 and requires pre-registration.  Children can be dropped off 60 minutes prior to kick-off and picked up within 90 minutes after the official end of the game.
