Lincoln Man Uses Scooter to Defend Himself Against Group of Attackers

Lincoln Police were waved down by a 36-year-old man near Centennial Mall and ‘O Street around 1:30 Tuesday morning who told officers he had just been assaulted by a group of people in their teens and early 20s.

“The victim told officers four individuals approached him near 13th and ‘O’ and after getting into a verbal altercation, one of the males charged toward him,” says LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas.  “The victim picked up a scooter to defend himself against the group.”

The man said they assaulted him and took his wallet, credit cards, ID and vehicle key fob.  “The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information that could help identify those
involved is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000.
