Nearly two months after a hit-and-run crash that left a man with serious injuries, Lincoln police have arrested 32-year-old Ki Wah of Lincoln on charges related to driving under the influence and leaving the scene.

The incident occurred just after 3:15 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11, near 53rd and Normal Boulevard, where road construction was underway. LPD says officers arrived to find a 58-year-old man lying in the street surrounded by vehicle debris.

He was transported to the hospital with fractured ribs, a fractured spine, and internal bleeding. He continues to undergo treatment and recovery.

Investigators determined Wah was driving a red 2017 Toyota Tacoma westbound in the eastbound lane when he struck the man. His blood-alcohol content measured 0.17—more than twice Nebraska’s legal limit. Wah initially fled the scene but later returned and was interviewed by police that night.

On Wednesday, August 6, Wah was arrested and booked into the Lancaster County Jail for DUI causing serious injury and leaving the scene of a crash resulting in serious injury.
