Nebraska Congressman Mike Flood has been elected the new chair of the Republican Main Street Caucus (RMSC), a group of more than 80 self-described “pragmatic conservatives” in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Flood, who previously served as vice chair, succeeds Rep. Dusty Johnson (R-SD), who led the caucus since 2023.
“It is an honor to serve as the next chair… I look forward to building on our successes as we continue to deliver on conservative priorities, constrain federal spending, and grow jobs,” Flood said in a statement.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) praised Flood as “an essential member of our GOP Conference,” while Johnson and other colleagues described him as a steady leader focused on “commonsense solutions.”
