Families are invited to grab their lawn chairs, capes, and costumes for a free outdoor movie night at the LNK Airport this Friday, July 11, featuring a special screening of Disney’s/Marvel’s 2014 animated film Big Hero 6.
The event kicks off at 7 p.m. with face painting, food trucks, the Art Bus LNK, and other family-friendly activities ahead of the movie, which will begin at sundown.
Sponsored by Gerit Schell State Farm Agency and The Driven Academy, the event will also include a costume contest. Guests are encouraged to dress up as their favorite heroes—whether that’s a firefighter, doctor, police officer, or classic superhero—for a chance to win a prize.
Organizers say real-life local heroes may also make an appearance during the evening.
In addition, a diaper drive will be held onsite to support CEDARS Youth Services. Donations of diapers in all sizes are welcome.
Parking is first come, first served, and portable restrooms will be available. Those wishing to listen from their car can tune into 87.9 FM.
Attendees are encouraged to RSVP in advance at Eventbrite and bring blankets or chairs for seating.
