Federal Officials Announce Results of Raid at Omaha Business

By Tom Stanton Jun 12, 2025 | 11:45 AM

Federal immigration officials raided the Glen Valley Food Packaging plant in Omaha on Tuesday and arrested dozens of workers.  United States Attorney Lesley A. Woods says a federal civil search warrant was executed in relation to a Take Back America Task Force worksite enforcement operation.

She says U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations, and with other federal law enforcement partners entered the facility in search of workers who were not authorized to work in the United States.

“HSI performed an audit of Glenn Valley Foods’ employee I-9 Forms to verify the authenticity and validity of employee identity documents,” Woods says.  “The audit revealed a large number of suspected fraudulent identification documents or documents that did not authorize certain identified employees to legally work in the United States.”

Woods says the audit also revealed that multiple identities of United States citizens were being fraudulently used by workers and numerous victim complaints were received at HSI in connection with those stolen identities prior to the enforcement operation.

“During the operation, HSI encountered approximately 76 unlawfully present aliens at the facility,” Woods says.  “These workers were using Social Security numbers that had not been issued to them.”

HSI referred several criminal allegations to the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Nebraska.  Woods says they include allegations of fraudulent use of Social Security numbers, assaults on federal officers, damage to federal property, illegal reentry of previously deported aliens, and other criminal concerns.

Woods says possible charging determinations have not been made yet as this is an active and ongoing investigation.
