Nebraska State Patrol troopers arrested two people Sunday after discovering more than 20 pounds of suspected fentanyl and cocaine during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Lexington.
According to NSP, a trooper pulled over a Honda CRV for speeding around 11:30 a.m. near mile marker 239. Suspicious behavior during the stop led to a search of the vehicle, revealing several packages containing an estimated 23 pounds of the illegal drugs.
The driver, Miguel De Sala Rudecindo, 25, and passenger Geudys Cabreja Nunez, 31, both of Bronx, New York, were arrested and booked into the Dawson County Jail.
Charges include possession of cocaine, possession of fentanyl, and possession with intent to deliver.
