LPD’s additional investigation identified 30-year-old Kain Brandt was as the suspect in this robbery. Following this additional investigation, Brandt was arrested Thursday and taken to the Lancaster County Jail. Brandt is charged with Robbery and Use Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony.

Lincoln Police were called to the Fat Dogs convenience store at 1105 W. Bond Street around 4:15 Thursday morning to investigate a robbery. “A store clerk told police an unknown man
approached the counter with a pocket knife and demanded money,” says Public Information Manager Erika Thomas.
“The employee threw an unknown amount of money at the suspect, who grabbed some and left the store westbound through the parking lot.” The suspect is described as 5’5″-5’7″ wearing a gray stocking cap, black sweatshirt and blue jeans.
