Nebraska pitcher and utility player Jordy Bahl was honored by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Wednesday as its Player of the Year. Additionally, Bahl became the 29th player overall and the ninth pitcher all-time to be named first-team All-American three times by the NFCA, after earning the honor in 2022 and 2023 at Oklahoma.
Bahl is the first Husker to be named NFCA first-team All-American since MJ Knighten in 2016. She earned the 31st all-time NFCA All-America honor by Nebraska.
Bahl already has a crowded trophy case after the 2025 season. She was the first ever player to earn Big Ten Player and Pitcher of the Year in the same season. In her first year as a regular hitter, Bahl rewrote the single-season record book for Nebraska softball, setting new single-season marks in batting average (.462), extra-base hits (41), home runs (23), runs scored (72), total bases (167) and slugging percentage (.988). She was also elite in the circle, pitching to a 26-7 record with a 1.56 ERA. In 206.1 innings pitched, she struck out 274 batters while allowing just 46 earned runs.
