The National Weather Service (NWS) office in Omaha/Valley, NE., updated the Severe Weather potential for this afternoon into overnight.
The biggest threat appears to be large hail of 2 inch diameter or larger. Strong winds with gust to 70-mph are possible if storms develop. The more specific timing forecast indicates the greatest threat to the Lincoln area is between 5 and 7 pm and the Omaha area between 6 and 8 pm.
Lincoln and Omaha are both in the Slight Risk area (2 our of 5) as forecast by the NWS Storm Prediction Center (SPC).
