Lincoln’s University Place Creative District is kicking off its 2025 Makers Market season this Sunday, May 18, with a “bigger-than-ever street fair,” featuring nearly 60 local vendors, artists, and student entrepreneurs.

The free, family-friendly event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2649 N. 48th St. in northeast Lincoln. This year, the market will expand to two full blocks along St. Paul Avenue, from 47th to 49th streets, allowing more space for visitors to shop, explore, and enjoy.

Guests can expect handmade goods, art, food trucks, live music, student-led projects, and prize giveaways.

“We’re turning two city blocks into a pop-up celebration of creativity, community, and local pride,” said Andy Peterson, board president of the Uni Place Creative District. “If you want to see what makes Lincoln shine, this is the place to be.”

The market will continue on the third Sunday of each month through October. More info is available at uniplacecreativedistrict.org or by following @UniversityPlaceCreativeDistrict on social media.
