A 32-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a shooting around 5:30 last Sunday morning near 3rd and ‘H’ Streets that wounded a 36-year-old man. “A warrant for first-degree assault has been issued for Elyssia Ochoa, she’s 32-years of age,” LPD sergeant Chris Vollmer says.
Officers with the St. Petersburg, Florida Police Department assisted the U.S. Marshals in arresting Ochoa at a home. “While down there she’s also facing local charges of trafficking suspected methamphetamine.” Vollmer says it’s not clear when she will be returned to Lincoln regarding the warrant.
The victim, Ochoa’s ex-boyfriend, was shot in the neck and shoulder and is recovering.
