Bahl earns Big Ten Player of the Week honors

By Nate Rohr Apr 29, 2025 | 6:11 AM

Nebraska pitcher/outfielder Jordy Bahl added a Big Ten Player of the Year honor to her four conference pitcher of the week awards. The Big Ten office announced the honor yesterday.

Bahl led the Husker offense in the series win over Washington last weekend, hitting 5-for-8 with three home runs and eight RBI, including two home runs in Sunday’s series-clinching win.

Bahl becomes the first Husker to earn both Big Ten Player and Pitcher of the Week honors since Tatum Edwards in 2014. She’s the first Nebraska player to earn five conference weekly awards in a season since Peaches James in 2004.

The Huskers close their regular season with a home series against Maryland beginning Friday at Bowlin Stadium.
