By Tom Stanton Apr 28, 2025 | 10:16 AM

A Lincoln man was arrested after police say he pointed a gun at two people during a road rage incident around 12:45 a.m. Sunday on I-80 near 56th Street.  “The individuals told police the man was speeding on the interstate and got mad because he couldn’t pass them,” says LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas.

“They say he began to swerve and drive recklessly.”   Thomas says when the victims got on of the interstate at N. 56th Street the suspect followed them, got out of his vehicle at a red light and then pointed the gun at them.

“An officer on his way to the scene observed a similar vehicle driving south of N. 56th and made a traffic stop,” Thomas says.  “The driver was placed into custody and a search of the vehicle located a .38 caliber handgun in a fanny pack.”

23-year-old Adam Nyhoff was arrested and taken to the Lancaster County Jail where he was booked for use of a firearm to commit a felony and terroristic threats.
