Lincoln Police say around 2:45 Monday morning an officer conducted a traffic stop after witnessing a silver 2007 Jeep Grand Laredo driving with no headlights on in the area of Salt Creek and Antelope Valley Parkway.
“The officer contacted the driver and during the course of the conversation, determined the vehicle had been stolen from UNL’s City Campus campus about 10 minutes before,” says LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas.
20-year-old Aaron Gonzales was arrested and taken to the Lancaster County Jail for theft by unlawful taking, no drivers license and driving with no headlights after dark.
