Lincoln Police are looking the driver of a pickup who walked away from a three vehicle crash at 48th and Holdrege around 6:20 Thursday night. When officers arrived they found that a red Dodge Ram pickup truck had collided with a white Mazda and a gray Kia sedan.
“The preliminary investigation determined the truck was driving recklessly northbound on 48th and drove through a red light at the intersection,” says Public Information Officer Erika Thomas. The truck then collided with the westbound Mazda in the intersection and then continued and hit the southbound Kia.
“The driver of the pickup got out and took off on foot after the crash and the truck was later determined to be stolen,” Thomas says. The driver of the Kia was taken to the hospital for minor
injuries.
