Lincoln Police Searching for Haymarket Bikers, Family Dollar Vandal

By Chase Porter Apr 16, 2025 | 10:58 AM

Lincoln Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects in two separate cases. One involves a pair fleeing police while riding dirt bikes and 4-wheelers, and the other involves a chaotic vandalism at a north Lincoln store.

The first case occurred around 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025, in downtown Lincoln’s Haymarket district.

Video Forensics Technician for the Lincoln Police Department Becky Keller says an officer patrolling near Canopy and “Q” Streets saw two individuals riding a dirt bike and a 4-wheeler through the area, which she says was busy.

The officer turned on lights and attempted to stop them but they took both off. Keller says the driver of the ATV appeared to have a small child on their lap, possibly between 3-5 years old.

A photo of the suspects is available below.

The second case occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the Family Dollar near 11th Street and Cornhusker Highway.

Keller says the store reported to police an individual entered the store and asked an employee with assistance finding some items. After not locating them, she ran towards the front of the store and “wreaked havoc on her way out.”

The woman — who possibly goes by the nickname “Tootsie” — allegedly began yelling, throwing shopping baskets at other customers and employees, opened a bag of powdered detergent behind the counter and threw it everywhere, and then threw candy bars and other miscellaneous items all over the place.

Police say she left the scene with a male in a silver Jeep Cherokee. Investigators are hoping to find out the suspects real name. Photo’s are available below.
