Lincoln Police have arrested a woman in connection with the robbery and assault of a 17-year-old girl following a minor traffic accident on Saturday. 19-year-old Charlissa Lasley was booked into the Lancaster County Jail on Monday for robbery.
LPD says the victim’s car collided with another vehicle around 7:00 p.m. near 21st and ‘K’ Streets. “She attempted to exchange information, but the driver demanded cash,” Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says.
She eventually left the area, but the vehicle with three unknown people inside followed her for about a block. “She pulled over again and was attacked and assaulted by the three people from the vehicle,” Thomas says.
The girl was punched and kicked several times. “The suspects also took the keys to her vehicle before leaving the area and a person in the area who witnessed the assault called 911. The other two suspects are still being sought.
