The Lincoln Airport will have an Easter theme for it’s first outdoor movie of the year on Friday. Director of Communications Rachel Barth tells KLIN News the movie Up! will be shown on the side of an old Cold War hangar at dark, but there will be plenty of activities leading up to it, including an Easter egg hunt.
“We have a bunch of different eggs for the kids, even a couple of official gold ones with little tickets in them that they can redeem for a bigger prize, something kid of fun,” Barth says. The Easter Bunny will be making an appearance and will be available for pictures. There will be food trucks on site beginning at 5:00 and the Easter Egg hunt will begin at 6:00.
Barth says they are teaming up with event sponsor Driven Academy to host baseball activities for the kids prior to the movie. Driven Academy is also partnering with local non-profit BraveBE to collect personal items for their clients.
Those items include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap, toothpaste and tooth brushes, body lotion, sunscreen, hair brushes and hair ties and mini hand sanitizer and ChapStick.
