A frightening ordeal for a 17-year-old Lincoln girl on Saturday night. LPD Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says she was assaulted after getting into a minor traffic accident near 21st and ‘K’ Streets around 7:00.
“She attempted to exchange information, but the driver demanded cash,” Thomas says. She eventually left the area, and the vehicle followed her with three unknown people inside.” Thomas says she pulled over again and was attacked and assaulted by the three people from the vehicle.
The girl was punched and kicked several times. “The suspects also took the keys to her vehicle before leaving the area and a person in the area who witnessed the assault called 911. Anyone with information about the suspects or their whereabouts is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000.
