Nebraska Task Force 1 Returning Home From Arkansas

By Tom Stanton Apr 11, 2025 | 1:19 PM

The Lincoln based Nebraska Task Force One is scheduled to return home Friday night following a nine day deployment to Arkansas, where severe storms left behind devastating flooding.

“The mission was notable for its extended working hours, tireless effort, and steadfast commitment to preserving lives and supporting local communities,” says LFR Public Information Officer MJ Lierman.  “As NE-TF1 returns home, the team wishes to extend sincere appreciation to the communities they had the privilege of serving,” Lierman says.

“In the midst of hardship and loss, they observed remarkable resilience, compassion, and solidarity. The communities’ fortitude was a powerful inspiration and served as a poignant reminder of NE-TF1’s purpose.”

The 45 members will get into Lincoln sometime around 8:00 p.m. and families and community members are invited to welcome the team home at the Task Force 1 headquarters at 901 W Bond. LFR shared a video of the team getting a police escort as the 13-vehicle caravan left the town of Pocahontas. The team also received a key to the city for their work.
