…RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR PORTIONS OF EASTERN NEBRASKA…
A Red Flag Warning will be in effect from noon until 8 PM due to the combination of strong northwest winds with gusts of 35 to 40 mph and low relative humidity of 20 to 25 percent.
The Warning area is generally along and west of a Bloomfield to Wayne to Lincoln to Beatrice line. Any fires that develop will spread quickly and outdoor burning is not recommended.
Continued dry conditions with gusty winds will bring additional fire danger concerns this weekend and potentially into early next week.
