Lincoln Police say no one was hurt after a car slammed into a house in southeast Lincoln Monday evening. According to an LPD crash report, a teenage girl was out for her second practice drive with her father near Hayek Drive and Aero when she tried to hit the brake but hit the gas pedal of the Toyota Camry instead.
According to the report, the teen panicked and hit the back passenger tire of a Ram 1500 causing it to spin out. The Toyota then went over a curb and through a vinyl fence before crashing into the back of the home.
Investigators say the vehicle entered the dining room. The teen was cited and released for negligent driving.
