A two vehicle crash just south of the UNL campus around 1:00 Monday afternoon sent both drivers to the hospital. LPD Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says one vehicle was eastbound and the other was heading north when they collided at 17th and P Street.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and the impact of the crash sent the Subaru off the road and into the front of the University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union building. One of the drivers was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The condition of the other driver is not known.
Eastbound ‘P’ Street was shut down at 16th Street as LPD investigators sort out the details.
